Today's Ride
Although this was such a long ride, there were only two sag
stops—basically one every 40 miles. While
some people were unhappy about the distance between sag stops, today’s ride
worked out well for me. I had a bit
faster ride than normal to the first sag.
I decided that since I was really feeling good for the first time since I caught bronchitis, I was going
to try and see if I could ride a bit faster than I have lately. I took advantage of the rolling hills to do the next 10 miles at 20 mph, and averaged 16.3 for the day. It was a great day
on the bike for me. We’ll see if I have anything left in the tank for
tomorrow.
We have two more days until our next rest day. Tom
Both days have minimal climbing. Sunday seems like such a long time since our last rest day in Casper. On Sunday my blog post will reflect some of my
thoughts after having completed the first half of this coast-to-coast adventure.
Tomorrow is a 73 mile day to Mitchell, SD, and then Saturday is 75 miles to Sioux Falls.

Congratulations on passing the halfway point. I've enjoyed reading about your experiences. The pictures are great.
